Did you know I used to update my blog fairly regularly? It was fun, even though I knew nobody was actually reading it and I did it for the love of writing. Then, social media became a thing and I sadly neglected it. It feels a little alien to be typing something without a character…
Finally moved my old blog(s) over to this website, took me a while but if I’d realised how easy it was, I would have done it years ago…
Mid-February update
Hopefully I’m not the only one who is in that strange ‘in-between’ mood, of feeling not quite ready to admit Christmas is over but ready to move forward and face a new year? This may only be the first day, but already I feel rather well prepared, organised and excited about 2016. Got my new, empty diary all…
Foxes are probably one of the most recognisable animals, with their black and white markings on a striking orange coat. They are known for being cunning and sly, hence this guy’s cheeky expression. I left most of the rough pencil sketch on show, adding colour on the level below and details on the very top. Lately I…
So kind of you to visit! I have always sketched in my spare time, anything from character designs to imaginary creatures & this seems like a nice place to share them I also love to sculpt and create things, though this is less frequent as it depends on the materials available nearby My other love…
My favourite month of the year has finally arrived, feeling so happy right now & can’t wait to start decorating my house. To celebrate, I have decided to treat my blog to a revamp. I hope you like this change, here’s to many more posts, portraits & updates in the future. Take care x
Hello again! After taking a little break, I did my first craft show of this year and it was also my first time out as ‘Espy Art’ rather than ‘Hannah Taylor Pet Portraits’ 🙂 I adore these fairy lights, they really helped make my work stand out Usually my good friends Vicki (VHS Photography) and…
Hello, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! I’m so excited to finally share this, I was asked not to post it online until after Christmas as it was a surprise gift. Now that I know the owner has seen it, you can too: Finished portrait Framed A5 print Original photograph This…
I’ve chosen to move everything over to a new home, so all that was once ‘hannah-taylor-pet-portraits.com’ related is now part of ‘Espy Art’. Click here to visit my new blog, thank you 🙂
Goodbye old routine, hello fresh start! From now on, everything creative I share online, and all my business/art commission type things, will be part of ‘Espy Art’ – finally it will all be neat and organised! This includes my Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, website and of course this blog. As much as I loved ‘hannah-taylor-pet-portraits.com’, I…
So, as you may know, I’ve been running two blogs, one for each of my websites, for quite a while now. Recently though, I had a brain wave – why not combine them into one and bring everything together? Ok, it wasn’t exactly an earth-shattering idea, but it just felt right. After all, no matter…
My daily photo project went well, better than I could have hoped really. OK, so I didn’t quite manage a whole year of daily photos…*but* I did learn a lot and this little break has helped me refocus. The photos I did take, one for every day of this year until May 5th, can be…
I did it, I actually put up my first photo of 2014! You can see it by following this link: Flickr Thank you, take care x
I just re-discovered my Flickr account, it has been sat there for 4 years, all empty and lonely – poor thing! So, I guess I’d better learn how to use the site and put some photos up eh? Thinking of starting a year-long project, where I can post new things I discover, create and capture….
Hello there After hours of editing, I can finally share Espy Art’s new look, I do hope you like it: New Website! I’ve chosen to keep everything clean and simple, with a little artistic touch here and there – with more exciting things on their way soon! The old design was a little fiddly to…
As my life is pretty hectic at the moment, I enjoyed drawing this moment of silence and serenity. This design is based on my lurcher, such a lazy girl but I love her ^_^ Here she has stopped to take in the fresh air and sunshine, before sprinting off again to explore. As you can…
Look who’s back! I felt bad for the lack of art, so I made a brand new background for the blog, neat huh? You may notice this matches my website too, now everything ties in nicely. Anyway, enough about that, you’re here to see more new designs so I shall provide: This pup is loosely…
I like drawing cats, usually tall and skinny or short and plump. This particular kitty has a hint of ‘Snowbell’ (Stuart Little) and ‘Salem’ (Sabrina). It seems I am heavily influenced by childhood memories of TV and film. Or it might be because I still watch the same things now! As you can see, the eyes changed…
I realise that things have been pretty quiet on this blog lately. Truth is, I just haven’t been on many adventures, if any, and as a result have little to share with you. I could post pictures of the meals I eat, the view of the street from my studio window or tell you about…
