Meet the fabulous Ziggy and Domino!
I had the pleasure of creating their portraits as part of an ongoing project for my amazing client – soon the wall will be filled with her cats from over the years, isn’t that wonderful??
First up was Ziggy who has the most stunning eyes that are super expressive. I added a soft blue background to make the yellow tones ‘pop’ and give the portrait a feeling of depth.
Next was Domino, a lovely boy with a big personality. We wanted to capture that playful side by keeping him upside down as he was in the original reference for a fun composition. I echoed the light and shade of the blanket he was laying on in the background, which also ended up giving a slight ‘floating in space’ galaxy effect which again suits the quirky look we were going for.
Here are the first four portraits up on the wall, I’m excited to see the collection continue to grow!
I offer group portraits where two or more pets can feature in the same drawing/painting, however having single portraits hung together is another nice way to display your fur babies’ art, plus you have the flexibility to change them around and add more in the future if you wish.
