I like to scan my pencil scribblings, then I can work over the top without losing the ‘charm’ of my original sketch.
I then go over the outlines to make them clearer, before playing around with colours.
What started life as a very small doodle, has evolved into the cat you see below!
I think I had Pokémon on the brain when I first doodled this feline, especially Pikachu’s stripes and big tail, mixed in with a little Garfield influence too.
