Bailey the Explorer

Sometimes, a portrait needs a background to help tell a story, and this was one of those times!

The reference photo showed this cheeky chap caught red-handed trampling through some garden plants and trying to look as innocent as possible.

I was sent a few photos to choose from, but this one stood out right away.

This ‘quick portrait’ was a special gift for the client’s friend, personalised with Bailey’s name handwritten in the corner.

I’m thrilled with the final result, everything worked out so well – from the range of textures and colours to that bright smile on his sweet face.

My ‘quick portraits’ take less time than ‘standard portraits’, which is ideal for tight deadlines, however I still pride myself on capturing a pet’s unique character regardless of the option chosen.
